The core business of Flucon is electronic counting of visitors in shops and malls and analysis of this data. Flucon in Alphen aan de Rijn is an internationally active logistics provider with branches in Germany and the United Kingdom. Over 35 staff members work daily on so-called Pedestrian Flow Monitoring and the worldwide sale of such customer counting systems. The use of automated customer counting, which often uses infrared and Bluetooth technology, is increasingly popular with retailers. Keeping track of store traffic is important for measuring conversion, duration of the visits, routing within a store, the impact of advertising and the fine tuning of human resources.
Flucon also provides communication systems of various kinds. The company was closely involved in the set-up of the first McDonalds branch in the Netherlands and has since supplied all the drive-through restaurants with telephonic ordering and communication systems. To other fast food chains like Burger King, KFC and Wok-to-Go, Flucon supplies various brands of communication systems.
An important component of a customer counting system is management report data. Without reporting, analysis of the collected data is not possible. For the development of management reporting tools Flucon works closely with Triodor. Triodor also set up a dedicated team for the further development and fine tuning of other Flucon software.
